Do the Poplar River Condos have a Guest Services office?
  • There is no front desk on property, but our Guest Service team can be reached 24/7 by calling 218-663-6254. On the day of arrival, you will receive a text message which can be used to quickly reach us throughout your stay.
What are the Check-In & Check-Out times?
  • Check-in time is 4:00 pm and check-out time is 10:00 am
What is the deposit policy?
  • Upon booking, a deposit of one night plus tax will be charged to your credit card to be held towards your stay.
What is the Cancellation policy?
  • If you cancel prior to 14 days to arrival, you will receive a full refund of the deposit. If you cancel during the 14-day window the deposit will be held towards a future stay for up to one year. Guests will be charged for nights dropped during the 14-day window. If you decide to leave early you will be held responsible for any nights not stayed.
What taxes & fees will I be charged?
  • 8.794% sales tax, 4% county lodging tax, 5% resort fee.

  • Due to the nature of our property and location, daily housekeeping is not included, but please contact us during your stay to see for additional supplies, linens, and services.
Do I need to do any cleaning before I check out?
  • We would greatly appreciate it if you could start the dishwasher and bring the trash to the dumpster.
Do the Poplar River Condos have coffee makers & kitchen supplies?
  • All units have a coffee maker and coffee provided. Those units with a kitchenare stocked with essential amenities (pots, pans, knives, etc.). Our accommodations do not have salt, pepper, or cooking oil.
Do you have handicapped accessible lodging options?
  • We do not have fully handicapped accessible units. However, we do have a number of units that have little or no stairs as well as walk-in showers and grab bars in the bathrooms. If you have specific mobility needs or requests, please contact us in advance to reserve one of these units.

What is the smoking policy?
  • All units throughout the Poplar River Condos are non-smoking. We request guests to only smoke on the parking lot side of the building and at least 25ft from the front door.

Does Poplar River Condos have E/V chargers?
  • Yes, there are a number of electric vehicle charging stations throughout the parking areas. The use of E/V charges is a separate fee processed at the charging pedestal. If you would like a unit near one of the E/V chargers, please contact us in advance to reserve one of these units.
Does the Poplar River Condos have any trails?
  • Yes! We have a wonderful 1.3 mile loop walking trail that encompasses the property and reaches the shoreline in multiple locations. More information about the Lakeshore Trail can be found here.
Are there any activities included with my stay at Poplar River Condos?
  • Yes, as a guest you have access to a wide range of complimentary activities based at the Bluefin Bay Resort property (7.5 miles south). Offerings include sea kayaking, hiking, inland kayaking, canoeing, and stand-up paddleboarding as well as craft classes, cross country skiing, snowshoeing, and more! Advanced sign-up is required and can be booked about 3 months in advance by clicking here.

  • The Poplar River Condos are conveniently located just 1.5 miles away from Lutsen Mountains, Midwest’s premier downhill skill location.
Do the Poplar River Condos offer ski shuttles to Lutsen Mountains?
  • Yes! As a guest, you will have access to our included ski shuttles. Shuttle services must be signed up for in advance.
Are there ski lockers available?
  • All units throughout the Poplar River Condos have secure ski lockers on the exterior of the parking lot side of the building.
Is there a golf course near Poplar River Condos? Does Superior National Golf Course require tee times?
  • Tee times are highly recommended at Superior National and can be booked here.
Is there a paved bike trail near Poplar River Condos?
  • Yes! The Gitchi Gami trail is located just across Highway 61 from Poplar River Condos. This paved, multi-use trail runs along Lake Superior, offering riders incredible views, gentle grades, and plenty of opportunities to stop and explore.
